Baylor leads Kansas State 21-7 after one half of football at Snyder Family Stadium.
The Bears took the 14-point advantage behind a barrage of deep passes from quarterback Jarrett Stidham to several speedy receivers.
Stidham, a freshman making his first start, completed 10 of 17 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Corey Coleman (five catches for 146 yards) for an 81-yard score and with KD Cannon (two catches for 62 yards) for a 55-yard score.
Stidham ran in Baylor’s other touchdown at the goal line.
K-State fought back with an early touchdown in the first quarter from Joe Hubener, and threatened to score on two other occasions, but two costly turnovers hurt the Wildcats.
