Halftime report: Iowa State 35, K-State 14

Iowa State leads Kansas State 35-14 after one of half of football at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The Cyclones build their lead behind an extraordinary passing effort from quarterback Joel Lanning. He has completed 11 of 15 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite target has been Allen Lazard, who has four catches for 77 yards and two scores.

His other touchdown throw went to Trever Ryen.

Iowa State running back Mike Warren has also looked strong, rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown.

K-State is on a six-game losing streak and needs a victory to keep its bowl hopes alive, but it has not looked ready to play.
