KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As I often do at halftime of any game I’m covering, I sat in my chair along press row at the Sprint Center in Kansas City pondering what sort of angle I might take in the story I would soon be writing.
Kansas State had just finished playing one of its more complete halves of the season and led Oklahoma State 40-23. A couple, maybe even three or four, ideas were looking pretty promising for me, as long as the Wildcats didn’t completely melt down in the second half.
Needless to say, the brainstorm continued well into the waning moments of K-State’s eventual 75-71 win over the Cowboys Wednesday night.
