There were flowers, a special ball and commemorative T-shirts handed out after the Kansas State volleyball team’s 3- 1 win over Mississippi State on Friday in Ahearn Field House.
But Wildcats coach Suzie Fritz only wanted to talk about one of the two milestones behind the postmatch celebration. The Wildcats later defeated Miami, 3-0.
The win marked the 800th program victory for the Wildcats, and 300 career wins for Fritz.
Fritz said to her, the 800th win — making K-State just the third Big 12 team to achieve the mark — means so much more to the program.
