Michael Bishop is up for the College Football Hall of Fame.
The former Kansas State quarterback was one of 168 players and 32 coaches listed on the Hall’s 2016 ballot Tuesday, released by the National Football Foundation.
Bishop is one of the top quarterbacks in K-State history. He led the Wildcats to consecutive 11-win seasons in 1997 and 1998 and the school’s first No. 1 ranking in the coaches poll as a senior. After transferring to K-State from junior college, he guided the Wildcats to a Fiesta Bowl victory over Syracuse. As a senior, he helped K-State win its first 11 games.
