Another Kansas State basketball transfer has found a new home.
Tre Harris announced Thursday on Twitter that he will continue his college basketball career at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. Harris, a guard, played sparingly during his lone season with the Wildcats, averaging 3.8 points in 21 games while making one start as a freshman.
K-State coach Bruce Weber recruited Harris for his three-point shooting, and there were games when he got hot from the outside. But his defense was suspect, which led to inconsistent playing time. Weber chose to leave him on the bench in 11 games.
Harris was kicked off the team following a disappointing 15-17 season for disciplinary reasons, along with leading scorer Marcus Foster and key reserve Malek Harris.
