Fans often have discussions about their perfect Kansas State basketball dream team.
And what if it actually happened? What if those days of Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente raining 3-pointers weren’t finished?
A handful of former K-State basketball players are set to make exactly that happen this summer when they reunite for a tournament.
Starting today, fans can vote for a team of K-State alums to play in The Basketball Tournament — a 64-team field starting in July made up of teams from four different regions around the country.
The team — called Purple and Black — is being organized by Jordan Henriquez and will feature Henriquez, Rodney McGruder, Dominique Sutton, Clemente, Thomas Gipson, Curtis Kelly, Jamar Samuels, Devon Peterson, Martavious Irving and the Wildcats’ all-time leading scorer in Pullen.
