Sometimes it’s worth the wait.
At least that’s the case for Kansas State’s Megan Deines.
Arriving in Manhattan only a few months ago, the senior guard is quickly becoming one of the go-to players for the Wildcats — a role Deines has coveted for years.
Deines began her basketball career at Louisville where she played in three NCAA tournaments, including the 2012-13 national championship game.
But while the Springfield, Mo., native saw her share of big games at Louisville, even playing in three different conferences while there — Big East, American and ACC — something was missing.
