KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The offense still has much work to do, the defense not as much and the return game showed potential of once again being strong.
That’s the quick takeaway from Kansas State’s Purple/White Spring Football game Saturday at Sporting Park. The Purple team, comprised primarily of the starters, outscored the reserve White squad 66-13, with a scoreboard final of 55-24 after the halftime score was flipped with the Purple up 24-13.
With stadium construction at K-State, the game was moved to Sporting Park and a crowd of 17,080 watched the Wildcats go through a complete four-quarter scrimmage.
