Election Day isn’t until Nov. 8, but Monday has a similar feel for the Big 12 Conference.
Once again, the Big 12 has the nation’s attention as it explores its options for expanding the conference.
The Big 12 has, essentially, three choices: stay at 10, expand to 12 or even go up to 14 teams. Presidents and CEOs of the 10 current member schools meet Monday to discuss expansion and potentially start laying the groundwork for the future of the conference.
Throughout the last few months of summer, top leaders from the Big 12 spent their time entertaining a number of candidates for joining the conference and eventually narrowed the list to 12 teams.
