Dante Barnett secure in leadership role for K-State defense

DALLAS — Each player on Kansas State’s football team is well-versed in coach Bill Snyder’s “16 Goals for Success” and has his own personal favorite.

For senior safety Dante Barnett, it’s No 12: No self-limitations.

Barnett put that goal to use in the first game he started as a freshman in 2012 at Baylor. Playing for an injured Ty Zimmerman, Barnett was burned on a touchdown pass early in the game as the No. 1-ranked Wildcats lost their first game of the season in Week 11 and saw their national championship hopes dashed.

The early misfortune overshadowed the fact that Barnett made 14 tackles in that game, 13 unassisted.
