Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber will need to come up with a new recruiting plan for the Wildcats’ lone remaining scholarship.
Kevin McCullar, a four-star guard out of San Antonio, committed to Texas Tech on Thursday. He chose the Red Raiders over K-State, Houston and Virginia Tech.
McCullar’s decision will come as a disappointment to K-State coaches and fans. The Wildcats recruited McCullar hard over the past few months and considered him their top recruiting target.
For good reason. The 6-foot-6, 180-pound shooting guard is one of the nation’s top prospects. Rivals rates him 68th in its recruiting database, and 247Sports ranks him 69th.
