The 2014 football season was a great time to be a receiver at Kansas State — if your name was Tyler Lockett or Curry Sexton, anyway.
Each managed 1,000-yard seasons a year ago — the first pair to do it in the same season in K-State history — catching passes from quarterback Jake Waters in an offense centered around the passing game and the strengths of those three players.
Kody Cook appeared in every game for the Wildcats alongside Lockett and Sexton, but was never a primary target. With Lockett and Sexton graduating last spring, the opportunity is there for Cook and several other receivers looking for more meaningful playing time.
