Coaches, athletics dominate list of top earners at K-State

K-State head football coach Bill Snyder cracked the $3 million mark for pay in 2016, as he and his assistants again dominated the list of top earners at the university.

Six of the 10 highest-paid employees at K-State in 2016 were football coaches, and nine were in the athletics department, according to The Mercury’s annual review of area public entities’ pay records.

The amounts reported include salary or hourly pay, overtime and bonuses, as well as fringe benefits such as vehicle allowances. They do not include employer- paid health insurance premiums or contributions to retirement plans.

Snyder took in a total of $3,159,997 for the calendar year.
