It was a pretty good home opener for Jake Wodtke and the Kansas State baseball team on Friday.
The junior had a career day in front of a nice crowd at Tointon Family Stadium with four hits and three RBIs in the Wildcats’ 18-8 dismantling of the of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
“Jake s been good,” head coach Brad Hill said. “He s been real solid for us. Again, doing what he does, not trying to do too much. He s been a real catalyst for us.”
The offensive explosion started in the second inning, as Pine Bluff’s Michael Bradley homered off K-State starter Corey Fischer.
