Kansas State was off to a hot start this season when it won its first four games.
Then came Tuesday night at the Sprint Center in the CBE Classic final. The Wildcats battled with No. 9 North Carolina and looked like the better team for nearly 37 minutes.
But in the final 3 1/2 minutes, everything went south for K-State in an 80-70 loss to the Tar Heels. Now the Wildcats will look to keep improving with a game against South Carolina State today in Bramlage Coliseum at 2 p.m. on Fox Sports Kansas City.
Of course, the Wildcat locker room was angry with the loss on Tuesday, and coach Bruce Weber was disappointed with it, but there were also reasons to be happy.
