The next match the Kansas State volleyball team wins will be the 300th victory in head coach Suzie Fritz’s career.
Coincidentally, that same win will mark the 800th victory in program history for the Wildcats.
As K-State prepares for Mississippi State, Miami and Loyola in the Wildcat Classic this weekend in Ahearn Field House, Fritz said she hasn’t thought once about the potential achievement.
Fritz, who admits she isn’t the reflective type, said she more than understands the magnitude of what reaching the milestone means. But she gives the credit to the supporting cast.
“I don’t want to dismiss the fact that there were an enormous amount of people going through a number of years that had an impact on that, a far bigger impact than I have had on it, I think,” Fritz said Wednesday.
