Cats focused on SC, not distractions

COLUMBIA, S.C. — There’s a lot of excitement that goes along with facing a No. 1 seed and the nation’s third-ranked team, especially on its home court.

But little numbers next the school’s name and a hostile Colonial Life Arena like the Kansas State women will experience tonight, isn’t what the Wildcats are thinking about right now.

Loud crowd and all, nine-seed K-State is just focused on the matter at hand — upsetting South Carolina — and not rolling over like some might expect it to do against a team that has lost only one game all season.
