AMES, Iowa — In the first leg of a two-match road trip, the Kansas State women’s tennis team was defeated, 4-2, at Iowa State on Friday at the Forker Tennis Courts.
After dropping the doubles point to the Cyclones (14-4, 2-1 Big 12) and matches at No. 1 and 5 in singles, the Wildcats (8-10, 0-5) earned two singles wins by Carolina Costamagna and Millie Stretton to pull the overall match to 3-2 before falling to Iowa State.
Costamagna picked up her sixth win in the No. 3 position with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Alejandra Galvis.
