Carlbe Ervin, Kamau Stokes fill point guard void for K-State

MANHATTAN — Leadership is part of the job for the point guard on a basketball team. Kansas State was in need of that quality, and it addressed the issue for the present and the future in recruiting for the 2015-16 season.

Carlbe Ervin signed with K-State out of Connors (Okla.) Junior College and Kamau Stokes comes in as a freshman with a year of prep school experience. Both are ready to take on the responsibility.

“I feel like we have a lot of leaders on this team, a lot of older guys who have to step up their game, and I do, too,” said Ervin, whose first name is pronounced ‘Corby.
