MANHATTAN — Kansas State put together a stunning second-half comeback and kept its bowl hopes alive.
The Wildcats trailed 35-14 at halftime but shut out the Cyclones in the second half and pulled out the victory on Jack Cantele's 42-yard field goal with three seconds remaining Saturday at Snyder Family Stadium.
K-State pulled into a 35-35 tie on Charles Jones' 5-yard touchdown run with 42 seconds left and, after a second straight Cyclone fumble, Cantele kicked the game-winner that snapped a six-game losing streak.
Quarterback Joe Hubener passed for 216 yards and ran for 90 as K-State improved to 4-6 overall and 1-6 in the Big 12, outscoring the Cyclones 24-0 in the second half.
