KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The world champion Kansas City Royals basked in the adulation of hundreds of thousands of ecstatic fans in a parade and rally Tuesday that nearly shut down downtown for hours.
The Royals shook off the gloom of Game 1 and applied their own version of a crusher Wednesday night.
Royals manager Ned Yost stood on a platform near the Kauffman Stadium infield and told a national TV audience: “This was really for our fans and our city. We couldn’t have done it without these fans.
