MANHATTAN — Morgan Burns tied a Kansas State record with his fourth kickoff return for a touchdown for the winning score, and linebacker Charmeachealle Moore sealed the verdict as Kansas State beat West Virginia 24-23 on Saturday.
The victory got the Wildcats to 6-6 on the season with their third straight victory and made them bowl eligible, with a bid to the Liberty Bowl expected to come Sunday.
West Virginia took a 23-17 lead on Josh Lambert's 28-yard field goal with 13:07 left in the fourth quarter, but Burns returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards to the end zone.
