For the third week in a row, the K-State senior corner back Morgan Burns was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
Burns’ honor marks the first time in school history that any K-State player has won three consecutive weekly conference awards and the first time in the Big 12 since Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell won three Offensive Player of the Week Awards in 2008.
Burns made his impact early blocking a punt that led to K-State’s first touchdown and scooping up a second blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown.
“I love special teams,” Burns said last summer at Big 12 Media Days in Dallas.
