Bruce Weber sees increased competition in early K-State practices

MANHATTAN

For the first time since Kansas State won a share of the Big 12 championship in 2013, Bruce Weber thinks the Wildcats have the proper mixture of talent and depth to create consistent competition in practice.

“I don’t think there is any doubt it is the best we have had in a while,” Weber said Thursday in an interview with The Eagle. “As a coach, that has always been our M.O. and our philosophy and it carries over to games. If we can get the practices to the point where they are harder than the games then we are in really good shape.
