Brad Korn returns to K-State as assistant basketball coach

MANHATTAN — Familiarity played a key role in Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber bringing back Brad Korn as an assistant coach.

Korn played for Weber at Southern Illinois and was on Weber’s initial K-State staff before going to Missouri State, where he spent the past three years on the staff of coach Paul Lusk.

“I felt it was important to get someone who knows our system and the types of players we recruit here at K-State,” Weber said.

Korn, 35, served on K-State associate head coach Chris Lowery’s staff at Southern Illinois from 2004-12. He came to K-State for the 2012-13 season where he was director of basketball operations for Weber when the Wildcats were Big 12 Conference co-champions.
