On a blustery Senior Night, the K-State Wildcats overcame a dismal first half and pulled off a 24-23 win over West Virginia to give the Wildcats six wins on the season.
The six wins officially qualify the Wildcats for a bowl game for the sixth straight season.
The first quarter was pretty quiet for both teams as the Wildcats and the Mountaineers seemingly could get nothing consistent going .
West Virginia did get close enough to draw first blood as kicker Josh Lambert hit a 45 yard field goal, giving the Mountaineers a 3-0 lead.
The Wildcats offensive woes would continue into the second quarter as they would have to punt it away again to start the quarter.
