MANHATTAN — There are thousands of college football players who played for a hall of fame coach, but the list narrows considerably for those who can claim they played for a coach when he entered the hall of fame.
The Kansas State Wildcats find themselves in that unique position when Bill Snyder becomes only the fourth active coach to be inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday in New York.
“That’s pretty cool and something I’ll definitely tell my children and grandchildren about,” said Wildcats quarterback Joe Hubener.
“A lot of people have so much respect for coach Snyder,” said Elijah Lee, a sophomore linebacker for the Wildcats.
