Kansas State doesn’t list Dante Barnett as one of the 18 players it will honor during a senior day ceremony before the Wildcats’ final regular season football game against West Virginia on Saturday.
Why?
Bill Snyder expects the senior safety to receive a medical redshirt and return for a fifth season.
“The injury to Dante will provide him, in all likelihood, with the opportunity to come back and play again,” Snyder said.
Barnett was a preseason all Big 12 selection, but he hasn’t played since the opener against South Dakota. The Tulsa native suffered an injury on an awkward tackle before halftime and has watched every game from the sideline since.
