The Kansas State football team finalized its new look coaching staff on Friday when Bill Snyder formally announced Blake Seiler had been promoted to defensive coordinator and Brian Norwood had been hired to coach defensive backs.
Both moves were made after Tom Hayes decided to retire. He had been Snyder’s defensive coordinator since 2012.
Rather than bring in an experienced coordinator, Snyder opted to promote Seiler. A former K-State player and Bishop Carroll standout, Seiler had previously coached defensive ends and linebackers for the Wildcats. Snyder sees great potential in him.
