The 2010 season was the year of the quarterback in the Big 12 Conference. The five quarterbacks who earned all-conference honors that season all went on to become NFL Draft selections — four in the first round, including future Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III, who was the second-team selection behind Brandon Weeden.
The pro potential of the 2015 Big 12 quarterbacks is still to be determined, primarily because of its youth: Three freshmen, three sophomores, three juniors and one senior are currently listed as starters.
The lone senior is TCU’s Trevone Boykin and junior starters are Joe Hubener at Kansas State, Baker Mayfield at Oklahoma and Skyler Howard at West Virginia.
