Kansas State’s 2019 campaign came to an end at the Big 12 Tournament with a 15-14 loss to Kansas in extra innings.
The BatCats started the game poorly and found themselves in a 6-1 hole after just two inning. But a furious comeback, fueled by a three-run homer by Dylan Phillips in the fourth inning, helped Kansas State take an 11-7 lead into the sixth inning. Kansas fought back though and tied the game at 11-11 in the seventh inning. The teams then battled into extra innings, with the BatCats getting three runs from a two-RBI double by Phillips and a go-ahead single from Chris Ceballos to go up 14-11.
