Things just never fell K-State's way yesterday afternoon at Tointon Family Stadium. The wind howled and the rain poured, and, despite keeping it close, the Wildcats (18-20, 5-10 Big 12) fell, 4-1, to No. 19 Texas Tech (25-15, 9-6 Big 12) in the rubber match of the three-game series.
"We just couldn't get the big hit today," said K-State head coach Brad Hill after the game. "We lacked that big hit. It was a huge momentum swing when we had the bases loaded (in the fifth inning).
