As Kansas State welcomes a group of new players to the football program, a couple of others have decided to end their time with the Wildcats.
Backup quarterback Jonathan Banks, who arrived late last summer from Contra Costa College in California, announced on Twitter he would be leaving the program.
GoPowercat.com is reporting sophomore safety Kaleb Prewett is also transferring.
Banks competed for playing time upon his arrival before ultimately redshirting this past season. But even through the numerous injuries at QB for the Wildcats, Banks was unable to get on the field, as he became ill at the end of September and remained sidelined the rest of the season.
