When Austin Trice enrolled at Kansas State last summer, some viewed the junior forward as the missing piece for a basketball team that returned its entire starting lineup but needed more size, depth and rebounding.
Trice was unable to live up to that billing, though, and has now decided to transfer after one season in Manhattan.
“We appreciate Austin’s contributions to our basketball program,” K-State coach Bruce Weber said in a statement Friday, “and wish him the best of luck as he pursues his playing career at another institution.”
Trice is a 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward from Chicago.
