Joe Davies (b. Aug. 25, 1997) is an athletic walk-on defensive tackle who provided depth in 2017 after transferring from the community college ranks. He will compete for starting duties in the interior of the defensive line in 2018.
Davies played in 12 games in 2017 for the Wildcats, carding six tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
He notched a season-high two stops with half a tackle for loss against Charlotte, recorded his first career sack in the regular-season finale against Iowa State, and also forced a fumble against West Virginia.
Davies played the 2016 season under head coach Aaron Flores at Coffeyville Community College, where he totaled 38 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three sacks.
