2017 AP All-Big 12 football: Four K-State players on first team | The Kansas City Star

Kansas State tied for second-best in the Big 12 with four players on The Associated Press’ all-conference first team released Friday.

The Wildcats’ four All-Big 12 first-teamers were junior right tackle Dalton Risner, senior placekicker Matthew McCrane, senior defensive tackle Will Geary and junior defensive back D.J. Reed. Punter Nick Walsh was chosen to the second team, while Reed made the second team as an all-purpose player. TCU also landed four players on the first team.

Risner and Geary also made Pro Football Focus’ All-America team. Risner, a former center from Wiggins, Colo., had a stellar season on K-State’s offensive line, shrugging off injuries and starting all 12 games.
