How did K-State manage to get the entire student body psyched about Friday's women's basketball home opener against Tennessee State?
Someone in the sports marketing department had a brilliant idea - free bacon.
This Friday at the #KStateWBB game we've got FREE BACON for students starting at 4:45! Free admission w/ student ID. pic.twitter.com/M9F0HEyVBd

The Wildcats started out by ordering 75 pounds of bacon, hoping that would be enough to satisfy demand.
Each student attending this Friday's Kansas St women's basketball game will get what school is referring to as a "boat of bacon."

When the story went viral (because of course it did, free bacon is involved) K-State realized 75 pounds wouldn't be nearly enough for the ravenous student body.
Kansas St says that social media activity has led them to triple the amount of free bacon at Friday’s women’s basketball game to 300 lbs

300 pounds should do the trick - as long as no one at KU finds out...
