LAWRENCE — New Kansas women’s basketball coach Brandon Schneider is bringing a brand new offensive game plan, and it’s something very different than former coach Bonnie Henrickson’s scheme.
Sophomore point guard Lauren Aldridge describes Schneider’s offense as “fast and flowing.” Aldridge says she is able to make more decisions on her own in this offense than during her freshman year, and is taking more shots and finding herself open more often.
“It allows people to do what they do best,” Aldridge said. “It opens up a lot of things for a lot of players.”
The point guard continued to say the offense caters to each player’s strengths and plays they prefer to run, creating a sense of comfort.
