World University Games KU basketball Chile victory 106 42

Frank Mason scored 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting, leading the Kansas men's basketball team in a lopsided 106-42 victory over Chile on Tuesday morning in its third contest of the World University Games in Jeolinamdo, South Korea.

Wayne Selden contributed 18 points with help from 3-for-3 3-point shooting, while Hunter Mickelson notched 16 points in 16 minutes off the bench. Nic Moore added double figures with 15, while Landen Lucas chipped in a team-high 14 rebounds in 13 minutes.

KU dominated with close shots, outscoring Chile, 58-16, in the paint.

With the victory, KU (playing as Team USA) improved to 3-0 in pool play.
