KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There’s something to be said for experience.
It really doesn’t exist in college basketball these days. Well, except at Kansas. And what a strength it can be, even in June. You can lean on it when you’re up and rely on it when you’re down.
That was evident Friday night at Sprint Center as Kansas trailed Canada in the fourth quarter for the second game in a row. But behind 22 points and 10 rebounds from Wayne Selden and 18 points and nine boards from Perry Ellis, the Jayhawks, representing the USA National team, rallied for an 87-76 win over Canada in its final exhibition before the World University Games.
