Kansas football is making progress, maybe not by wins, but the culture is changing. The Jayhawks played the twenty-second ranked Cyclones to the wire yesterday but ended up losing 41-31. The Jayhawks were a 25 point underdog, so it’s hard to get too upset with the team for the loss.
There’s still a lot of work to be done though, especially on the recruiting trail.
The biggest challenge facing head coach Les Miles and his staff is bringing in talent, and more importantly, coaching them up. It’s very unlikely that the Jayhawks pull in many big-name recruits, so Kansas is going to have to figure out how to do more with less.
