LAWRENCE
The Kansas Jayhawks had never lost to Baylor on their home floor. That trend was not going to end on Saturday, not with Wayne Selden locked in, not with the three-point barrage continuing, and not with Allen Fieldhouse buzzing for the start of conference play.
Selden finished with a season-high 24 points as the second-ranked Jayhawks disposed of No. 23 Baylor 102-74 on the first day of Big 12 play. The Jayhawks claimed their 25th straight win in league openers and improved to 14-0 all-time against Baylor in Lawrence.
Selden, a junior guard, buried his first seven shots, including his first three three-pointers, as the Jayhawks built a 24-4 lead in the opening minutes.
