Romeo Langford, the fourth-leading scorer in Indiana high school history, has decided to play his likely one-and-done season of college basketball close to home at Indiana University.
Langford, a 6-foot-5 senior shooting guard from New Albany (Ind.) High School, who is ranked No. 5 in the recruiting class of 2018 by ESPN.com and No. 6 by both Rivals.com and 247sports.com, on Monday night announced for the Hoosiers over Kansas and Vanderbilt.
Langford, who averaged 35.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.0 steals a game this past season, revealed his decision in front of a crowd initially estimated as more than 2,000 fans in his high school gym.
