Kyle Mayberry hasn’t played a down for the Kansas football team, but he might have already helped out the Jayhawks for years to come.
The Tulsa, Okla., defensive back has been the go-to guy on Twitter for other recruits considering KU.
“I just think after my football career is over, they need to add me to the staff,” Mayberry said with a laugh. “I mean, I’m a great recruiter.”
He’s not lying.
Four of KU’s expected commitments were helped with their decision after corresponding with Mayberry on social media. That included running back Khalil Herbert, defensive back Julian Chandler, receiver Evan Fairs and quarterback Tyriek Starks.
