Jahvon Quinerly, a 6-foot senior point guard from Hudson Catholic High School in Hackensack, N.J., on Tuesday night orally committed to play basketball at Arizona.
Quinerly, the No. 16-ranked player in the recruiting Class of 2018 by Rivals.com, chose the Wildcats over Kansas, Villanova, UCLA, Stanford, Seton Hall and Virginia.
He made his announcement at Tuesday’s Stephen Curry Select Camp Game in the Bay Area.
“I feel like they can get me to the highest level,” Quinerly told ESPN.com. “Also, we will win. They have a history of making the Elite Eight. I wanted to play with a very talented team and that’s what they have.
