LAWRENCE — Kansas coach Bill Self is not expecting an answer to the question of whether freshman forward Cheick Diallo will be cleared to play by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
In the meantime, Self plans to fight for his 6-foot-9, 218-pound forward from Mali.
“We’ll get an answer hopefully sooner rather than later. That will tell us what our next step needs to be as far as moving forward,” Self said following Traditions Night at Memorial Stadium on Aug. 23. “We certainly believe it should be a certain way, but it’s not about what we believe. It’s about what is right and what’s fair.
