LAWRENCE — Wayne Selden has gone global.
The soon-to-be Kansas basketball junior has averaged 19.4 points in the Jayhawks' first five contests at the World University Games, all victories as KU swept its way through pool play in the last week.
"My teammates found me when I was open," Selden said after scoring 23 points in KU's 81-72 victory over Brazil on Sunday. "I just knocked down shots and stayed aggressive throughout the entire game."
Selden has also been a monster on the boards, pulling down nine rebounds in the Jayhawks' opener after posting a previous career-high of seven in collegiate play.
