LAWRENCE — The KU men's basketball team received the crown jewel of its recruiting class this offseason when 6-foot-9 power forward Cheick Diallo announced his commitment Tuesday.
“The biggest factor for him to choose Kansas was development and coaching,” said Eric Jaklitsch, an assistant coach for Diallo at Our Savior New American in Centereach, N.Y. “Cheick knows he needs to get better at certain things to get where he wants to go with basketball. He felt Kansas was the right choice for him.”
But how will the No. 5 recruit on Rivals.com fit in with Perry Ellis and the rest of his KU teammates, and should we expect him to begin the season in the starting rotation?
