FORT WORTH, Texas — Perry Ellis scored 23 points on 11-for-14 shooting, leading No. 7 Kansas to a 75-56 victory over TCU on Saturday afternoon at Schollmaier Arena.
KU dominated early in taking a 38-20 halftime lead.
The Jayhawks were most effective on the defensive end. TCU made just 6 of 24 shots (25 percent) and would have been in worse shape if not for 7-for-12 free throw shooting.
Ellis was KU’s best option inside, scoring 11 first-half points on 5-for-6 shooting while adding two blocks.
Bill Self still wasn’t happy much of the first half.
